Marketing Examined LLC. ("Marketing Examined", "we", "us", or "our") provides a web application, Chrome extension, and related services (collectively, the "Service") that help users curate Instagram content, generate analytics, and share boards with collaborators.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you:

- create, import, or share boards, media, comments, or analytics
- interact with us via email, support chat, or social media

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
4. How We Use Information
- Provide the Service – authenticate you, fetch Instagram posts/analytics, save boards, and enable sharing.
- Improve & Secure – monitor performance, debug errors, prevent fraud, and develop new features.
- Communicate – send product updates, transactional emails, and respond to support requests.
- Bill & Enforce Agreements – manage subscriptions, issue invoices, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Comply with Law – satisfy legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
Our legal bases under GDPR are performance of a contract, legitimate interests, and, where required, your consent.

We never sell your personal information. Third‑party service providers act as processors bound by contractual obligations to safeguard your data and use it only for the services we request.
6. Cookies & Local Storage
We use first‑party cookies and Chrome extension storage.localto remember log‑in state, preferences, and A/B testing variants. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but the Service may not work properly.
7. Data Retention
- Account & Board data — until you delete your account or 30 days after inactivity (we’ll warn you first).
- Logs & analytics — up to 18 months for security and product improvement.
- Back‑ups — archived for 35 days before automatic deletion.
You may delete boards at any time; they are purged from active systems within 24 hours and from back‑ups on the next rotation.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access and receive a copy of your data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or Object to certain processing
- Data portability (receive data in a structured, machine‑readable format)

9. Security Practices
- TLS 1.3 encryption in transit
- AES‑256 encryption at rest
- Principle‑of‑least‑privilege access controls
- Regular penetration testing and dependency scanning

No method of transmission or storage is 100 % secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Transfers
We are headquartered in the United States; your data may be processed in the U.S. and other jurisdictions. Where required, we useStandard Contractual Clauses or other safeguards to protect data transferred from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.

If we make material changes, we will:
